About the event
The Bay Area Regional Climate Action Plan (BARCAP) is being developed by the Bay Area Air District. It will identify regionally coordinated actions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and transition to a clean economy and create a wide array of local benefits for Bay Area residents. StopWaste, a local government agency in Alameda County, is hosting a zoom meeting about the actions being considered for building materials. These include local and state policies, economic development, and outreach to encourage adoption of embodied carbon reduction strategies by the construction industry. Ways to lower embodied carbon being explored include reuse and salvage, low carbon specifications, and biogenic materials.
Join this zoom call to learn more and provide your input about what actions are most needed to scale low carbon building materials at the regional scale.
